CGR Riders finish on the Podium at Batavia International Motorsports Park

Levittown, PA, June 16, 2009 Crush Grafix Racing riders post strong results at the opening round of the ENAC Can-Am supermoto series.

French Canadian supermoto champion Maxime Sylvestre holeshot the SMX 250 (Pro Lites*)
heat race while CGR riders Travis Oswald and Kevin Hudasko entered turn one in second and fourth. Oswald and Hudasko rode strong throughout the qualifier and despite a mechanical issue Oswald finished an impressive fourth behind teammate Hudasko.

CGR’s Hudasko holeshot the SMX 250 (Pro Lites*) main event while teammate Travis Oswald lurked within striking distance for the opening laps of the race. Oswald passed for the lead on lap three with Sylvestre in tow. Oswald kept the Canadian champion at bay for most of the main but with three laps to go Sylvestre dove inside to pass for the lead and take the win.

Canadian rider Doug Beattie dominated the SMX 450 (Premier*) class winning the heat and main event by a large margin. CGR Rider Boyd Brower started second in the main and held his position until a fall on the last lap. Brower quickly re-mounted finishing third.

Maxime Sylvestre backed up his SMX 250 win with dual heat and main wins in SMX Open (Unlimited*). While Sylvestre checked out in the opening laps of the main CGR riders Boyd Brower and Travis Oswald battled Canadian riders Jesse Morgan and Doug Beattie for the final two podium positions. In the closing laps of the main Brower snuck inside of Morgan to finish second.Teammate Oswald closed out the top five.

“I couldn’t be prouder of these guys,” commented team owner Drew Stoerrle. “We went in with a mission, and that was to podium in all three pro classes and that’s exactly what we did. This is the first time we’ve seen some of the Canadian riders. We heard they’re talented, and they are.”
